The AHA’s Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course has been updated to incorporate the latest guidelines from the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) recommendations for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Course Overview:
Participants will learn fundamental life-saving skills applicable in both healthcare facilities and emergency response environments. Certification:

Is a classroom course that fulfills the 8-hour EMSA child care training in pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED. As an American Heart Association program, it meets part of California EMSA regulatory requirements for child care personnel. Participants learn how to recognize, respond to, and manage illnesses and injuries in infants and children during the crucial first minutes until EMS arrives.
What’s covered: the four steps of pediatric first aid; CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants; how to assist a choking adult/child/infant; asthma care; common illnesses and injuries; a child/infant safety checklist; and guidance on child behavior and effective interaction.
